Walking The Way – September 2026

The next walk will take place on Sunday 13th September at 2.00 pm, around the newly opened Wellholme Park and the surrounding area.

We will meet at Wellholme Park Car Park, Thornhill Beck Lane, Brighouse.

Nearest postcode: HD6 4AH.

From Bradford Road, turn onto Thornhill Beck Lane, drive through the ford, and take the immediate right turn into the car park.

If the car park is full, parking is available on the side streets off Bradford Road.

Other Information

• Moderate ability required.

• Approximately 8 stiles, with moderate inclines, descents, and steps along the route.

• Distance: 3.1 miles.

• No facilities available en route.

• A café and Tesco are located near the end of the walk.

• Walking boots and poles are recommended due to uneven terrain.

• There are cows in one field and a horse in another. Both are in large fields and can be easily avoided.

• Dogs should be kept on leads when walking through the fields.
